The “Yes for Codington County Bond” Political Action Committee made a final appeal to Codington County residents Oct. 21 by hosting a public meeting on the benefits of voting in favor of passing the $29.65 million bond package intended to fund a new detention center.

Codington County Commissioners have approved a resolution calling for a bond election on November 5th, 2024. If voters approve, the measure will authorize issuing up to $29,650,000 in general obligation bonds to fund the construction and/or renovation of court facilities, a county jail, and law enforcement facilities.
